Zenumist and the Ostracized Research

Collect Yulete's Lab Report (1)

Quest Start

Hey, do you know of the name Yulete by any chance? He's apparently very famous around Magatia, but infamous would be a better word. He was conducting this ridiculous research that got so trashed by others that he went into seclusion.
I mean, the point Yulete was trying to make was outrageous. I mean, he proposed that the work of Zenumist and Alcadno should be combined for a synergy effect. That definitely made him many enemies from both Zenumist and Alcadno. There was an old legend, about a rather talented Alchemist known as Dr. Aikark who spoke about the same thing shortly before he disappeared to who-knows-where. No one has ever been able to get the two to work together, not to extent where it became feasible.
That being said... people are curious to see how that research and the following experiment turned out. I am sure he failed, and that's why he hasn't set foot on Magatia since, but... I'm getting curious, you know. That's why... can you get me his Lab Report?
Ohh, really? You're going to get that for me? I don't know where Yulete may have disappeared, but people that have been chasing him claim he can still be found somewhere around Magatia, so enter Yulete's lab through those people, fight the monsters around the area, and get me Yulete's Lab Report. Thanks.
Hmm... if you don't want to, then I can't push you to do it, but... aren't you also curious to see how Yulete's experiments fared in the end? I want to see if combining the methods of Zenumist and Alcadno worked. After all, Dr. Aikark spoke of the same thing, and both of them were highly intelligent...if something was able to be accomplished, it would undoubtedly be something insanely powerful. A fusion of pure alchemy and magic, given life? I shudder to think was it would do in the wrong hands...

Hmm... how did you do? Were you able to find Yulete's Lab Report? What? This is it? Let me see!
Ohh this is it! "In order to combine the methods of Zenumist and Alcadno, one should understand that the two studies are actually derived from the same root." Even the introduction sounds like Yulete's work.
This is definitely piquing my interest. This was stated at the height of the conflict between Zenumist and Alcadno, so it was met with jeers and hatred, but... I personally think it's very interesting. Yulete just found the wrong time to state it... anyway, thanks a lot!
