The Blueprint 1

Talk to Rice the Medic

Quest Start

Is there something I can help you with?
  1. I found a piece of paper that might belong to your research labs...
Huh? A piece of paper? (sniff)
What piece of paper?
  1. (You show Porter the paper shard) this one. Could it be a part of a blueprint of yours?
(Rice the Medic... Let's go talk with him.)
Well... (sniff) if you're not too busy, maybe you could help us with some testing?
Oh, *that* piece of paper! (sniff) You're right, it looks like a blueprint of ours.
I wasn't expecting to see it again, it was just a random scrap blueprint piece I found, nothing important.
I was reading a book that we were about to send to the Helios Library, I found a page that was particularly interesting and marked it with that piece of paper. (sniff) I didn't want to use one of my good bookmarks.
  1. (A book they sent to the Helios Library...?) Erm, out of curiosity, where is the rest of the page?
'The rest of the page'? That's all I had, I found it stuck to one of the trees in the Omega Sector. I thought maybe it was from an old scrapped project, or a rejected prototype, or... (sniff) something else, I don't know.
  1. Where did you find it?
(sniff) Uhh... not too far from the security gate on the far right side of the Base. (sniff) Rice the Medic was there when I found it, but he said the paper wasn't his.

Quest Complete

Greetings! Do you need any medical attention?
  1. No, not me, thank you. Porter might need it though, it seems like he has a mean cold...
Still sick, is he? I swear the last time I saw him out here he was still fighting that cold.
  1. About that. Porter found a piece of blue paper out here. Any idea where it came from?
Oh, that? It blew over the Security Gate. Nobody is allowed through this gate, though. Rumor has it that it's cursed ground. Some sort of construction site is on the other side... Maybe that's part of the old blueprints for.. whatever it was that they were making. I'm surprised that piece hasn't completely disintegrated with how long this construction site has been here.
  1. Any idea what's behind there?
Not a clue. As far as we know, its condemned. No one's allowed to go in, and nothing's ever come out.
  1. I see. Thanks for the insight, Rice!
(This might be a dead end...)
(As you're about to leave, you catch a glimpse of something blue soaring over your head.)
