Quest Start

Hello, there. Thank you for The Book Ghost's Sheet of Paper the other day. The thing is, the The Book Ghost's Sheet of Paper that you gave me, well, something does not seem right. Look at these pages, all of them stamped in cat footprints. Don't you think they look a little strange to be considered just a regular cat footprint?
Word is, lately there have been a number of monsters that cry like a cat emerging around the Peach Farm. I suspect that these street cats might have read The Book Ghost and acquired its mysterious skills themselves. Those street cats are violent to begin with, but now that they are equipped with those skills, the cats present a major problem for all of us. I'd like for you to take care of this situation. Can you?
Thank you. I'd like for you now to defeat 20 Sage Cats and bring back 5 Kitty Spirits. Sage Cat is a street cat disguised as a sage man. Don't be fooled by its appearance; you will be viciously attacked. As for Kitty Spirit, we'll need to destroy those monsters and gather up the Kitty Spirit so it won't be spread out to other street cats.
No? I see ... this is disheartening. Becoming the true Master requires one to help others when in need of help...

Wow, you did defeat Sage Cats and bring back Kitty Spirit! I'm sure this might have been a difficult task for you ... thank you very much! Hopefully this will prevent more monsters from acquring skills like that without proper training.
I appreciate your great work, but unfortunately, I don't think I can give you The Book Ghost. This was a crude reminder that these skills are definitely not for the unprepared and the untrained. I am sure you may be able to master those skills in no time without the proper training, but that doesn't mean you can call yourself a Master. In fact, you won't be any different from those monsters you just defeated.
This applies to anyone and everyone: the best way to become the Master is to train diligently and pay dues. Once you find yourself helping others in need without even thinking, that's when you'll have proven to be Master material. Don't be discouraged by this; keep training, keep working hard, and never stray from this goal. You'll eventually become the true Master you are striving to become.
